Jumbie Jam Kids' Steel Drums
Welcome to the world of steel drumming! Jumbie Jam steel drums are innovative kid-sized steel drums with a full G major scale and an amazing sound that rivals that of full sized steel drums, or "pans" as they are called. Students experience the fun and thrill of playing in a steel drum ensemble while also learning about the Caribbean history and culture where the tropical music was born.
Classes meet on Mondays from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. from September to mid-June, with periodic performances/demonstrations. Students may join during the year. Although students are not required to have their own Jumbie Jams, owning one is advantageous and reasonably priced. Tuition is $50.00 per month.
