Music Pups

West Chester Academy of Music and Dance is proud to offer Music Pups®, the finest singing and movement classes available for children from birth to age four!

Music Pups is a music education curriculum designed to unleash the musical potential of young children. Featuring award winning music, engaging activities, CDs, and caring, professional instructors, we are proud of the high standards we set in the field of early childhood music education! Each member of our Pups class receives a CD to listen to outside of class, and each 10 week session includes an entirely new collection of music.

As a participant in a Music Pups class, your child will be exposed to a wide variety of styles designed to expand his or her music vocabulary. We will play with rhythm instruments, balls, scarves, stick horses, stretchy bands, and puppets to engage even the youngest of children in rhythmic and melodic participation. Student/parent participation and creativity is greatly encouraged, as our trained Music Pups instructors will frequently ask for suggestions from either your children or you for substitutions of words or actions that will personalize the songs!

Just as the minds of babies are literally being wired to discern and compute the sounds of the verbal language around them, their developing minds can also be wired for the melodic and rhythmic sounds of music. The greater the palette of sounds your children are exposed to, the greater their music vocabulary will be that upon which they can build as they grow.
