Music is one of the essential disciplines that every child needs in order to develop a well-rounded education. Research has shown that there is a strong correlation between music instruction and academic success. To that end, West Chester Academy of Music and Dance is proud to offer home school music classes to West Chester and greater Cincinnati area homeschoolers.
The focus of our homeschool music class is on awakening the joy of music making and on participating in fun ensemble experiences that teach music fundamentals to homeschooled students. Basic theory, rhythm/notation concepts, and singing are taught through a mixture of Orff and traditional methods. This class meets once a week for 10 weeks in the Fall and in the Winter quarters (see 10 week Calendar). Tuition is $100 for the first child, $50 for the second child, and $25 for the third child in a family for the 10 week course.
